Wintry conditions sweep across the U.S., producing below-average temperatures, winter weather watches and flood watches.
On Friday at 2 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch valid from Saturday 7 a.m. until Monday 1 a.m. for Southern Erie.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Watch for almost every single county in our viewing area. A winter storm will race in early Tuesday. Snow will start before sunrise, beginning in central Pennsylvania by 3AM. It will be heavy at times through the morning.
Precipitation may begin as a mix of wet snow and rain across inland areas Sunday morning before transitioning to all rain by afternoon as temperatures rise. The Jersey Shore should see high temperatures in the low to mid 50s, while inland locations remain in the 40s.
