Arkansas drops new schedule, nine-game grind featuring Georgia, Texas, LSU and plenty of familiar frustrations
There are two notable differences in this year’s schedule. First, there are no longer two bye weeks on each team’s schedule. The way the calendar fell in 2024 and 2025, there were 14 available Saturdays from late August/early September and late November for teams to play 12 games. That changes in 2026.
The Tigers have scheduled all three nonconference games for 2026. They’ll host Clemson on Sept. 5 (Week 1), Louisiana Tech on Sept. 12 (Week 2) and McNeese on Oct. 3 (Week 5). LSU finalized an agreement to play the Bulldogs on Wednesday.

The Oklahoma Sooners have had a tremendous 2025 season, earning a 10-2 record and a College Football Playoff berth for the first time since 2019. It's a veteran group on both sides of the ball, but Oklahoma wouldn't be playing postseason football without the contributions from key true freshmen on both sides of the ball.
Florida Gators wide receiver Vernell Brown III and edge rusher Jayden Woods capped off their debut seasons with Freshman All-SEC Team honors, the SEC announced on Thursday.. Brown III earned the nod on the Freshman All-SEC team at wide receiver, all-purpose and as a return specialist.
